Our History
Ahmadu Bello University Press Ltd. (ABUP) was established in 1973 to serve the scholarly publishing and printing needs of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the wider academic community in Nigeria.
Over the decades the Press has grown from a university publishing unit into a full commercial printing enterprise. Today we operate from the Ahmed Talib Building at ABU Samaru, Zaria, with more than 76 dedicated staff and a production floor that covers pre-press, high-speed offset printing and complete bindery services.
We are proud to serve more than twenty universities and federal parastatals, while remaining true to our founding purpose: publishing scholarship that advances knowledge and printing that meets the standards institutions expect.
